Politics: A defintion we can all live with...

I have been concerned lately with being considered a politician. I decided to look it up. Here is the definition in the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary.

(Definition of politics noun from the Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

We should all be politicians. We should study, and learn the ways in which OUR Country is governed. Our Country was intended to be of the people, by the people, and for the people. But, if the people are not willing to inform themselves. If they are not responsible enough to involve themselves with the activities of their law-makers, and the direction our nation is headed... then our nation's freedoms, our liberties, our rights will not stand.

Our rights will be overtaken by those who are willing to hold a position of power. The power-hungry, and those who want to profit from them. Let us remember that the governed must stay involved, or they will soon lose their right to make decisions about how they are governed. Whether simply by their inaction, or by the direct action of others.

Take action now. Become informed about YOUR government. Start now! Ask questions. Test the answers. Find someone you trust and discuss what you find. Check out the Tea Party Patriot Movement. They encourage us to take back our political power. To learn more about our government. To get more involved in the political process.

And, as I have learned, politics is not a dirty word. Don't let the fact that some people who have used bad judgment in their exercise of political power, keep you from exercising good judgment by getting involved in your state and nations politics.
